My husband and I both have had issues with anxiety since long before we met. We have both found EMDR extremely helpful. I learned that a couple of traumatic situations that I thought I had processed hadn’t really been resolved. When my husband saw how helpful EMDR was for me, he decided to do it as well. Not only did we find much more peace individually, but our marriage also feels lighter and happier, with our reactions to stressors significantly reduced.

Marine did an assessment and said I was in good position for EMDR.  I wondered does EMDR work? I read about it and finally got the courage to call back and set up my appt.  I want to let anyone who will listen know, Marine has truly saved the rest of my life! I trusted her process and I believed in her kindness. I wanted what she said I could achieve with EMDR therapy. I was worried about the 4-hour session! I thought that’s a long time for past issues! The experience was interesting. My brain picked up on what Marine was doing straight away. At the end I felt peace. I felt different. I felt things I was unfamiliar with. The next month after was interesting. I waited for the outburst, panic, anxiety, medical fears and nothing!  I’m so grateful for Marine and the experience of EMDR therapy. I would recommend this to anyone who needs it.  Your life will never be the same again! Thank you Marine for giving my life back. I look forward to the new me!  I will forever be grateful for you and your compassion to cure people of PTSD.

I felt extremely heard and seen, important, and loved. When I left [the] office, I felt like I could fly.

I am more hopeful for my husband’s healing and our reconstruction than I have ever been. I am so grateful for your willingness to share your knowledge and wisdom with us and join us in this beautiful journey of hard work we are embarking on.

EMDR was unlike any other counseling experience. Initially I was nervous, thinking it would be awkward, doing something new and different than anything I’d experienced before. I felt I would need to control how my memories were expressed, and wasn’t sure how I would react. I was surprised how using the EMDR process stimulated past traumas automatically, bringing memories to the surface in unexpected ways. Feelings and thoughts about the past were investigated on a deeper level, and connections between past and current struggles became clear. I was given new insight into my own power and strength, by reconstructing these traumatic moments in a safe and nurturing environment. I was able to release anxieties and negative thoughts associated with those memories, and through EMDR imagery take control of my past and be a powerful, stronger person today.
